Club Project (#2) Floatplane 2007

Friday building nights are 'get togethers' that allow members to share skills and information around specific projects and activities.
In this case we aim to get more floatplanes together so that more members attend the regular Floatplane flying day at Lithgow (see events calandar).

For the last 3 years Cowra MAC has had a regular presence at the Lithgow Float Plane Day. Fitting floats is really not that hard or expensive is great fun and builds flying skills.

On the 12th oct we dusted off (literally) several sets of floats and made some decisions. Andy decided to set his Viper pylon racer up on a set of 'Pilot 40' floats he's had for some time. Ian also aims to get a trainer set up on some old 'Pilot 40' floats (kindly donated by Richard M). Andrew decided to get a set of foamies covered and glassed for his Frontier 40 trainer.
By the second meeting on the 19th, only limited progress had been made but by the third (hopefully) we will be ready to attach floats and fine tune their setup.
